Organizations needed one secure place for chat, group chats, video and audio calls, screen sharing, broadcasts, file sharing and document collaboration, with a friendly interface on every device.
Competitive analysis of the tools people already knew, personas and user stories, then mobile-first wireframes, clickable low-fi prototypes in Adobe XD and final mockups in Sketch built on the suite’s design system. Mockups went to developers via Zeplin with detailed tickets, followed by design reviews of every implementation.
An app the whole team used every day, continuously extended with new features over 4.5 years and released as apps for multiple platforms. The founders were very happy with the result.
A secure, self-hosted alternative to the chat and meeting tools teams use every day, made for organizations that handle sensitive data and want to keep it on their own servers.
I led the UX/UI design from the first workshop with the founders through wireframes, prototypes and final mockups, and reviewed every release with the developers.
